What to Pack — and What to Leave at Home

Many patients wonder what they should bring (or leave home) when starting treatment at Three Rivers Behavioral Health. While the following list is not exhaustive, and additional items may be prohibited if deemed unsafe by Three Rivers’ staff, please refer to these guidelines when preparing for your stay.

Things to Bring:

  • Several changes of casual clothes
  • Pajamas
  • Sweatshirt (no strings)
  • Personal hygiene items such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo and make-up (no glass containers or mirrors)

Things Not to Bring:

  • Shirts or pants with holes or inappropriate slogans
  • Food
  • Glass bottles
  • Wire hangers
  • Televisions or radios
  • Pillows
  • Blankets
  • Money
  • Valuables
  • Cell phone
  • Laptop computer
  • Belt
  • Shoelaces
  • Clothing items with drawstrings
