Adult Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
The program is tailored to meet the special needs of chemically dependent persons and their families. Participants are educated about the nature and dynamics of addiction and recovery. They identify relapse triggers and build individualized relapse prevention plans.
Outpatient services offer a Recovery Management Group Therapy Treatment Model. Patients that desire a recovery based lifestyle will learn tools for alternate coping strategies to use in lieu of alcohol and drugs. These coping strategies include distraction, mindfulness, self-care, grounding, emotional release and thought channeling. Patients will also learn about their triggers, why cravings occur and how to build a community of support. Patients will develop relapse prevention plans to use when they feel triggered to use or experience cravings.
