If you need intensive mental health treatment but don’t require a hospital stay or full-day care, the intensive outpatient program (IOP) at Branches, a service of Three Rivers Behavioral Health, can help.

Adult Psychiatric Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

The Adult Psychiatric Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Branches, a service of Three Rivers Behavioral Health, consists of two therapeutic groups per day, which are led by a licensed masters-level therapist or other qualified staff. A multi-family group is also available, and Three Rivers Behavioral Health can provide referrals to doctors, therapists and support groups in the community.

Regular educational topics include:

  • Interpersonal communication skills development
  • Management of cognitive distortions and painful emotions
  • Developing acceptance skills
  • Medication and diagnosis education, and relapse prevention
  • Healthy lifestyle practices (relaxation, nutrition, exercise)

Program Hours

The Adult Psychiatric IOP meets on Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., and the multi-family group meets on Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
